Chromatography is a feasible method to seperate the bucket of mixed paint.

Advantages:

It is easy to detect illigal dyes in food.
It can seperate very complex mixtures.Eg:Food,Flavouring and Drugs.

Disadvantages:

It can seperate colours but cannot get it back to the same colour before seperation.
